The FDA is recommending that owners not feed their pets chicken jerky or chicken tender treats that were manufactured in China. These types of treats have been linked to renal failure in pets. There is no specific brand that is under investigation at this time. Please check your treat labels to make sure that they were not made in China! If you have questions regarding this warning please call the clinic at 802-365-9362.

Immiticide Availability:

Immiticide is the product that veterinarians commonly use to treat heartworms in dogs. This product is currently no longer being manufactured in the United States and is unavailable from overseas sources. Thus, we have no treatment if your pet becomes exposed to heartworms. We are recommending that owners administer year round monthly heartworm prevention to their pets until further notice.
